We recently celebrated a very special time of year where we all had a reason to express just how Thankful we are. In your time of giving thanks, did you remember to Thank Your, My and Our Father for the greatest gift that has ever been given to this world?

Yes, Thanksgiving is a great time to spend with the ones you that love and give thanks for all the blessings received. This holiday is also followed by a holiday where many gifts are given in honor of the ultimate gift/sacrifice that was given to us so many years ago.

While sitting around the Thanksgiving or dinner table did you or do you picture who in your family, including yourself, that you might give as a sacrifice if it meant saving the entire world from sin? Could you imagine this choice being one of your children? While I may only have what the world considers “fur children” I couldn’t imagine having to make this decision.

Fortunately, we have a Father who LOVES US so much that he gave a gift greater than anything that can be purchased at some ultimate Black Friday sale. Long ago, His Perfect Son, Our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ, was born to :

Rescue us from the dominion of darkness and transfer us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. (Colossians 1:13)

So, as you continue to celebrate during the holiday season, no matter what gifts you give, remember the ultimate gift that was born, died and was raised from the dead in order to give you eternal life, peace and love from HIM WHO LOVES US MOST!
