We All Ask Why?

why-god

There have been many things that have had me asking God why both in the past and even in the present. The funny thing is, this question has seemed more prevalent to me in the past few months. After losing my sweet fur child this year, of which my spouse and I had for 16 years. I have also  tried to comfort two of my friends who have endured the same type of tragedies in the last couple of months.

A couple of days ago, I was even informed that a fellow aerobics classmate had given birth to her first child at only five months. Of course, I continue to pray for what I am sure will be the same type of miracle child that God allowed me to be after being born two months earlier than anticipated. Regardless, I can’t help but ask God WHY things like this continue to happen to his children. The funny thing is, that is the question that my spouse has asked me when trying to renew his faith in God.

I sometimes struggle to find the answer to this question. This has even had me questioning God as to if I heard the instructions that he gave me recently correctly.

Despite my questions and confusion, my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ has comforted my heart and cried out to The Father…Abba Father and the answers have continued to come to me in various ways. I was especially comforted by a daily devotional that I received from Girlfriends in God this morning, which turned me to God’s words of assurance that I feel could help each of you who are asking this very poignant question right now. Take comfort in knowing that God loves each of us and wants each of us to have a life of abundance through the blood of his Son Jesus Christ.

For we who live are always given over to death because of Jesus, so that Jesus’ life may also be revealed in our mortal flesh. So death works in us, but life in you and since we have the same spirit of faith in keeping with what is written. (2 Corinthians 4: 11-13)

Many adversities come to the one who is righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all. (Psalm 34: 19)
