“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ( Jeremiah 29:11)
Everyone who likes to rest and wait on God’s timing, raise your hand? I must confess that I am not the one raising my hand screaming, me! I love sitting around and waiting.
Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I prefer getting something done. In fact, I was born two months early 42-years-ago because of impatience. This sinful trait of mine has been getting much worse for me lately while God has been making many promises to me in the past few weeks and every time that he has given me a special calling from His Word I have been ready to jump ahead.
While he loves to speak his words of life over us, there are times where we need to realize that His Promises will also come to fruition in His Perfect Timing and this timing is often quite a bit off from our idea of ideal.
To give you a look under my mask of complete faith, I have been nervously awaiting a new door to open in my writing career and despite my becoming a newly published author this year, based on something that God asked me to do, I have yet to see new writing opportunities come to fruition. While I am honored to do what my Father asked me to do, it is difficult to wait for the next pathway or open door to appear.
So, if you are with me in awaiting your Comeback Story to come alive, let’s all pray for one another to Trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
After all, He created the universe and has all of the capability of bringing His Perfect Plans for our lives to fruition.
Thanks for taking time to encourage me with reminder of His TRUTH. Great is His faithfulness which also lives in you.
