He said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. (Luke 6:10)
While it is never fun to admit, the fact is that I have been a worry wart since birth. Lately, one of my biggest worries has been about my spouse’s hand, which was injured during a car accident a couple of months ago. While I tried to keep professing that he would receive healing soon, a recent doctor’s visit brought the enemy’s doubts back into my mind.
Fortunately, God saw this coming and once again reminded me that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the ultimate physician that will return his hand back to full function. In fact, he quickly returned me to two Bible stories that helped me remember this.
Being the loving father that he is, the first of these stories was the one of the man with the withered hand (Luke 6:6-10). In this story, Jesus denies the scribes and Pharisees who say that he shouldn’t heal on the sabbath. Instead, he asked the man with the withered hand to “rise up, and stand forth in the midst“.
After arising and standing before the Great Physician, the man stretched forth his hand and Jesus took this hand and restored it as whole as the other (Luke 6:10). After reading this, how could I deny that Jesus would do the same for my spouse?
So, if you are in need of healing and are worried that this need will never be fulfilled. Dive into your Bible today, where you will be reminded of more true stories like that of the woman who had the issue of blood for more than 12 years (Mark 5:25-34) whose faith in the power of Jesus made her whole.

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague (Mark 5:28-29).
Isn’t it wonderful to know that God loves us so much that he has given us a Son, who both died for our Sins to save our souls and is even able to heal us from all of our infirmities? Yes, I did say ALL!
So, join me today as I begin to speak what the Holy Spirit has put in me – a message of healing – vs. the enemies thoughts of doubt and worry. After all…
The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast (I Peter 5:10).
