But God, who is rich in mercy, because of HIS GREAT LOVE for us, made us alive with Christ Jesus even though we were dead in trespasses, you were save by grace. (Ephesians 2: 4-5)
As we celebrate the world’s official “day of love”, I felt the one who loves us most tugging at my heart to share how much HE LOVES US.
Although I have a spouse, he and I are often very busy people who really don’t do much to celebrate this holiday. Don’t get me wrong he does plenty of things to prove how much he loves me and our fur babies everyday, so roses and candy really are not needed.
Despite this, I still have days, like today, where I need a hug or someone just to remind me that I am loved and important. Last night I was feeling this urge in a big way, especially as I felt everyone was turning their back on me. Of course, this was a lie that the devil insisted to whisper in my ear.
Instead of allowing me to feel alone and susceptible to the devil’s lies, our tremendously LOVING FATHER, who gave us the greatest Valentine’s Day gift ever – Jesus Christ, wrapped his arms around me and whispered what I so desperately needed to hear.
“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” saith the Lord. (Isaiah 54:10)
Thank you God for always reminding me that I have your perfect love anytime and anywhere – no matter what.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
