Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. (Psalm 77:14)
While I am continuing to try to stay patient (isn’t easy for me) for God’s ultimate miracle in my life, I have continued to be reminded that he is the still the God of miracles. I was fortunate to see this first hand last night and I woke up excited to share this example with the followers of those who are looking for examples of just how Unconditional HIS Love really is.
While I have tried to keep reminding myself, despite my circumstances, that God has pulled me out of the “pit” and placed me on the solid rock of Mt. Zion there have been times when I have felt that hard gust of wind trying to knock me back down. As a result, I was once again back on my knees yesterday asking HIM to show me a miracle.
Despite my allowing a weakness in faith to begin making its way into my heart this week, God answered my prayer yesterday and showed me that what looked like an impossibility could become possible if I just believed.
If you are a football fan, you are probably starting to figure out what I am talking about. You would be correct, the AMAZING comeback by the New England Patriots in Superbowl 51 (https://youtu.be/tXMPIbo54Mk). Yes, I am a HUGE FAN of the Patriots and I have been looking forward to our winning this game to be the highlight of a rather difficult week. I was also asking God to make this HIS sign to me that this would be the beginning to a turn around in my life.
After the first half of this game, my faith was once again faltering. Here we were down 28-0 as the clock began to wind down in this game. As the fourth quarter came around, God took this time to show me that no matter the circumstances he could bring about a miracle. That is EXACTLY what happened!! That’s right, the Pats came back to win #SB51 34-28. I realize that this it is just sports, but this was HIS way of showing me that if I just let go and trust him that he can make miracles like this happen.
So, let’s take this and keep our FAITH that HE IS STILL THE GOD OF MIRACLES. That can be any miracle from an amazing SuperBowl comeback to saving your child or even fixing your financial situation. I am so grateful that God loves me enough to forgive me for my weak faith to put me back on Mt. Zion and proving that he will always be there to love me UNCONDITIONALLY.
Remember, he can do the same for you!! Just believe and remember that he raised Jesus Christ from the dead and he is still capable of any and all miracles in the lives of those who believe.
