Walk by Faith and Not By Sight

Walk not as other Gentiles walk , in the vanity of their mind, but put off the former life and things said and be renewed in the spirit of your mind by putting on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4)

While God told me this recently, I want to be honest in confessing that I did not follow  my wonderful Heavenly Father’s instruction when  he gave it. Although I was pretty frustrated at myself, instead of punishing me our wonderfully loving God pulled me back out of the pit to put me back on the path to walking with he and Jesus.

What exactly do I mean by I didn’t follow his instruction? As the holiday where most of us celebrate how grateful we are approached, a rotten cold came with it and along with this came a rotten attitude.

This attitude included wanting to trust what I can see rather than the miracles that God was trying to show me. Boy, was I wrong in doing so because this led to frustration, anger and tearing people down versus building them up. Yep, you go it. I am definitely not the perfect Christian!

Despite this, God picked me back up and showed me that he still loves me even when I try to follow my own path and will always be there to pick me up and put me back on the path. So, if you are feeling guilty about anything that you feel may have led you down the wrong path, just know that he will be there to love you and renew you into his beautiful creation.
