While I continue to worship God, I am still made of mortal flesh and continue to sin and make mistakes on a regular basis. As I am becoming closer to God, I am opening myself up more to own up to these sins and ask for forgiveness through the ultimate gift that we have all been given, the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior.
This week, has been a trying one. I have been out of work since before Christmas after following the path that God set before me as this year came to a close. This has obviously left me questioning what HIS plan is now. While I have tried to patiently await his plan, my patience ran a bit thin this week and I became very frustrated about the affliction that has been set upon me. Despite my frustration and sinful nature, God has poured out his love for me and has not only forgiven me (there is His Unconditional Love again!) , but is using this for HIS good.
As I opened my Bible this morning, God sent me right to a prayer that I believe will help each of us who are afflicted. If you are feeling lost and broken right now, than this prayer is for each of us…
Answer me quickly, Lord as my spirit fails. Don’t hide Your face from me, or I will be like those going down to the pit. Let me experience Your faithful love in the morning for I trust in You. Reveal to me the way I should go because I long for You. Rescue me from my enemies Lord. I come to You for for protection.
Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me on level ground. Because of Your name, Yahweh, let me live in Your righteousness and deliver me from trouble. In Your faithful love, destroy my enemies and wipe out all those who attack me for I (we) are Your servant(s).” (Psalm 143)
“Turn my heart to Your decrees and not to material gain. Turn my eyes from looking at what is worthless; give me life in Your ways and confirm what You said to Your servant for it produces reverence for You. Turn away the disgrace I dread; indeed Your judgements are good.
How I (we) long for Your precepts! Give me life through Your righteousness.” (Psalm 119: 36-40)
AMEN and AMEN!!
