Anointed to Share HIS Word…

I was born into a Christian household, but I wasn’t the most religious person. In fact, we didn’t even go to church. Despite this, my parents followed The Way International Ministry and we spent every day worshiping God and remembering that there was always someone who loved us even when there were others who didn’t. In fact, I can remember many mornings where I would be getting ready for school and my mom and I would be singing “yes, Jesus loves me”.

As I became an adult my relationship with God continued, but there were many days were I felt like I was standing alone and letting the hate that is in the world overtake me. This even included thoughts of suicide after thinking that I had lost someone that is the other side of my heart.

The funny thing is that no matter how low things would get for me HIS love has always been there for and has always changed my life for the better. In writing my first post for this blog, I am once again ready to remind myself that he still loves me.

After a recent trip to St. Louis, where I was questioning whether or not I was on the right path, I began to find my way back to the arms of God. Thanks to a little help from Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore and Christine Cain and the Love Life conference, I began my new journey back into the arms of my creator.

Following this conference, I felt empowered enough to ask God to tell me what HIS plan is for my life. Although the entire plan hasn’t been revealed to me yet, I feel honored that he has anointed me to bring the good news about his mercy and love for all of us.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance and to comfort all who mourn.” (Isiah 61: 1-3)

As this journey unfolds, I will continue to share my story about the path that Christ has paved for me by the shedding of his blood and I welcome you to do the same.

Let’s be there for one another as God said in his word “For he chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in his sight.” (Ephesians 1:7)
