There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love (I John 4:18).
As an honored child of God, I would love to tell you that I let my faith win out much more than I allow the lies that Fear like to tell me. To do this would be hiding a serious weakness that I suffer from on a regular basis. Rather than hide this weakness, I would rather be honest and remember that I am made strong in weakness.
After a conversation with a new friend of mine this morning, who was fighting the same kind of lies that I do on a regular basis, I was reminded how God’s great love can help us find the faith to fight these fears. So, if you are experiencing any kind of fear, whether it be about a battle for your health, mental stability or even for peace of mind, remember the one who loves you most. For, He is….
Our refuge, strength and a helper that is always found in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Because HE is lovingly devoted to us, and will deliver him (us), protect him (us) because he knows each of our names (Psalm 91:14).
